We all need some SPACE…
It can sometimes be challenging to find that oasis of calm in our hectic lives. The demands placed on us by both others and ourselves can make it hard to find the SPACE for clarity, creativity, vision, health, exercise or even figuring out our next steps.
SPACE is a place for you to be, well… you. Our ‘soul’ objective (see what we did there) is to rediscover the best version of you: the calmer, happier, healthier and more energised you. And all whilst having a good old fashioned laugh with like-minded people.
The seven day programme
The SPACE programme is designed for you to do as little or as much as you’d like. Attend all of the sessions or just a few, it’s really up to you, there is no pressure whatsoever! Our programme is also designed so that you can “take home” everything you learn throughout the week.
Choose from any and all of the following activities per person:
- three healthy meals per day (and healthy snacks)
- daily yoga
- daily sunrise and sunset meditation (including paddle board meditation and yoga)
- daily HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)
- daily pilates
- daily personal training sessions
- tennis coaching on two of the flood lit tennis courts
- water sports using the latest equipment including kitesurfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing, sailing and snorkelling
- bicycles so you can explore the island. There are trails suitable for both cycling and hiking
- incredible signature massages by Lucy Annabella Organics
- mindfulness sessions
- cooking demonstration and nutrition sessions
- the chance to experience Moskito Island exclusively for you with a group of like minded people
About some of the SPACE Sessions
High Intensity Training (HIT) delivers a comprehensive, body-changing workout in a small group environment that combines the best of cardio and resistance training – maximizing your workout.
Excess Post Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) – you will burn more calories, experience lean muscle growth, break through fitness plateaus, achieve personal bests and more easily perform activities of daily life. Studies have proven that training in an environment that provides support, motivation and inspiration delivers better results.
Pilates is a very unique form of exercise that promotes the balanced development of core strength, flexibility and concentration. When these elements combine in unison, efficient and controlled body movement occurs, bringing numerous functional benefits to the body. The goal of Pilates is to develop core strength. Good core strength is vitally important, because it allows us to perform basic movements with the correct form, which subsequently supports the back and spine. Good core strength also makes a huge difference to posture and our ability to develop superficial muscles. In addition to physical development, Pilates can promote mental wellbeing. The controlled movements involved in Pilates encourages participants to focus their attention entirely in the present moment. This skill can be applied as mindfulness in everyday situations and can help to reduce stress related disorders, such as depression and anxiety. Pilates also encourages controlled deep breathing, which again is a fantastic way to control stress.
Food and Drink
What we eat and drink not only plays a very important role in our physical health, but our mental state too…
At SPACE we will be following a healthy and ‘clean’ alkalising diet: eliminating sugar, gluten, cow’s dairy, meat and alcohol. This aids in cleansing the system, rebalancing insulin levels, reducing inflammation and giving the digestive system a rest – all of which will result in increased energy, focus, clarity and complete body rejuvenation. Whilst at SPACE we’ll share with you in more detail the benefits of healthy eating and the affect it has on our mind and body.
We promise our food will be delicious (no pressure, Gaz the chef!). The results from indulging in our menu are only positive and we know you’ll be delighted and inspired.
